Challenge: How does a regional brokerage firm, that also operates its own broker-dealer, survive and prosper after the retirement of the 2nd generation management (2 brothers) into the management of the 3rd generation of owners?
Action: Conducted a detailed evaluation of the current strengths and weaknesses of the firm, propose a re-orientation of the strategic direction of the firm, and developed sophisticated pro formas to evaluate the variety of options. All data was summarized in a 150+ page strategic plan which was presented to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Result: A blueprint to ensure the firm survives and prospers as the 3rd generation takes over management of the firm.
